MUSIC USAGE

Use Wise Buds music in your content

Last updated: July 11, 2026

Wise Buds grants broad, free-use permission for music listed in the official catalog. No prior authorization or separate license fee is required when these terms are followed.

Scope

These Music Usage Terms apply to tracks officially listed in the Wise Buds catalog at wise-buds.com, unless a track or release page states otherwise. Permission is granted only to the extent Wise Buds controls the rights needed for the permitted use.

What you may do

You may use covered tracks worldwide, free of charge and on a non-exclusive basis, in personal and commercial content.

  • Monetized YouTube videos and other monetized video content.
  • Twitch, YouTube, and other livestreams.
  • Reels, Shorts, TikToks, social posts, and creator edits.
  • Podcasts, films, documentaries, courses, and presentations.
  • Applications and published games.
  • Client work, sponsored content, and brand content.
  • Paid advertising and commercial campaigns.
  • Personal and non-commercial projects.

No prior authorization, separate license fee, or royalty payment to Wise Buds is required for these permitted uses.

This does not affect normal royalties or streaming revenue generated and paid by third-party platforms under their own systems and terms.

Credit

Credit is appreciated, but it is not required.

Linking to the official track, album, website, or Wise Buds profile is another appreciated way to support the project.

Official audio and permitted edits

Use official platform audio whenever it is available.

Users may:

  • Cut or shorten a track.
  • Create loops.
  • Add fades.
  • Adjust volume.
  • Add voiceover, dialogue, or sound effects.
  • Make minor speed or pitch changes when needed to synchronize the music with their content.

These edits are allowed as part of a larger content project and do not create ownership or exclusive rights over the music.

These terms do not authorize bypassing platform restrictions or obtaining audio from an unlawful or unauthorized source.

Using a complete track

A complete track may be used when it forms part of substantive content such as a video, stream, podcast, film, application, presentation, or game.

A static image, basic visualizer, lyric upload, or similar upload whose main purpose is to republish the song is not considered substantive content.

What is not allowed

  • Uploading or distributing a covered track as the user’s own music release.
  • Distributing the track through Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, or another music distributor.
  • Republishing the music as a standalone or nearly standalone audio upload.
  • Selling, sublicensing, or offering the track as a music asset.
  • Adding the track to a stock-music library, sample pack, downloadable compilation, or similar collection.
  • Offering the original audio file for download or redistribution.
  • Claiming authorship, ownership, or exclusive rights over the music.
  • Preventing other people from using the same track.
  • Registering the track in Content ID, fingerprinting systems, rights-management systems, or similar services.
  • Registering content in a way that claims exclusive rights over the Wise Buds audio.
  • Using Wise Buds branding, artwork, or logos except for factual credit or linking without separate permission.
  • Falsely implying that Wise Buds sponsors, endorses, supports, or is formally associated with a person, company, product, campaign, or political position.
  • Using the music in unlawful, fraudulent, deliberately deceptive, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, defamatory, or sexually exploitative content.

Content ID and platform claims

Users may not register a covered track, or register content in a way that claims exclusive rights in the Wise Buds audio, with Content ID or another automated rights-management system.

Wise Buds does not intentionally seek claims against uses allowed by these terms. Automated or third-party claims may still occur because platform systems are outside Wise Buds’ direct control.

If you receive a claim, use the Contact page and include:

  • Track title.
  • Platform.
  • Affected content URL.
  • Claim details.
  • Any available reference or claim number.

Wise Buds cannot promise that every claim can be removed or that automated claims will never occur.

Ownership and non-exclusivity

These terms provide limited, non-exclusive permission to use the covered music. They do not transfer ownership, authorship, copyright, trademark rights, or exclusivity to the user. Rights remain with Wise Buds and any applicable rights holders to the extent those rights exist and are controlled by them.

Multiple creators may use the same track.

Third-party platforms

Spotify, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Apple Music, distributors, advertising networks, app stores, and other platforms have their own terms and technical rules.

Wise Buds does not guarantee:

  • Continued platform availability.
  • Acceptance by every platform.
  • Monetization eligibility.
  • The absence of third-party or automated claims.
  • Compatibility with every distribution or rights-management service.

Changes to these terms

Wise Buds may update these terms for future uses. Content published while an earlier version was active may remain published under that version if the use complied with the terms that applied when it was published and does not involve a prohibited use.

New content and new uses must follow the current published version.

Questions and claims

Use the Contact page for Content ID issues, policy questions, metadata corrections, website problems, or other support—not for requesting prior authorization for uses already allowed by these terms.
